As the first and the biggest REAL indie label in mainland China,So Rock! RECORDS! is responsible for all aspects of chinese Rock n' Roll music—old school/thrash/black/death metal、electronic\techno music、alternative、underground and so on.Our business from marketing strategy to distribution to press releases to Rock n'Roll pubication.We have a zine named "So Rock!"as well,It is the biggest and most influential rock zine in mainland China too.So Rock! Magazine started in 1999,Since it was clamped down and unfairly treated all the time,Nowadays we Boast more and more readers,inland and overseas.
So Rock! RECORDS!was founded in july 2000,At the same year,We signed "Stale Corpse"and released first chinese brutal death metal album "Sounds Of Prison" in mainland China,Then also available in HK and south-east asia.By now,We've signed and released some other artists' album,They are:Heresy--"Hymn"(Thrash metal),Tairan--"Unreal"(we prefer to call it Dance Metal, it was played on BBC and highly praised by famous rock godfather DJ John Peel),Fanyan--"Rebirth"(Darkwave/Ambient,also the first in mainland China),Ronez--"59146"(in chinese pronunciation,the album's title just means"I'm gonna die"，Ronez,Avant-Grade noise maker, is a morbid Serial-killers superfan),Hu Mage--"Kill Sevens With One Slap"(a Punk-Folk album with black humour of serious social attitude),Loneliness·China·Sun--"Record"(a alternative rock band,with Chinese flavar),Tairan--"Welcome To The Planet Mathafacka"(a remix of Unreal),Maodou--"Pink"(Experiment Electronica/Darkwave), Wangcai--"Use Your Illusion Ⅲ"(Comic Funk metal), LiuNing--"I'm A Toy"(Tip Hop).And now our new signed bands Nico(Alternative Pop)is intensively recording in our studio.
Meanwhile,we also distribut some other indie label 's production in mainland,We have a vast distribution net covers our country, To promote chinese rock artists is another important mission of our label,So any indie rock artists are welcome.And our Overseas cooperation is running smoothly,We have established good business relationship with several indie labels who come from German、Malaysia、HK,Especially,We are going to indraft Malaysian indie label's(named "Yellow Fire") two albums,and put into colossal mainland China market.And we are coagent PeaceWork,It's the first company in the world whom are selling cds by CD-ON-DAMAND.
